The Electronic Manufacturing Process

We offer full-service manufacturing and single-service manufacturing.

SMT Component Assembly

The electronic components are mounted directly onto the surface of the printed circuit board via Pick & Place machines.

THT Component Assembly

The components are inserted into pre-drilled holes on the PCB by hand.

Soldering

During this stage of the process, the SMT boards are sent to the reflow oven to get soldered, and the THT boards are sent to have hand, wave and/or selective soldering done.

PCB Washing (optional)

During this stage of the process, the boards are put into a machine that removes harmful chemical residues, solder fluxes, oils, and other debris. This helps to prevent corrosion, chemical damage, short circuits, and more on the PCB.

Conformal Coating (optional)

During this stage of the process, the PCB is put through our Mycronic MYC50 coating machine for protection against environmental hazards.

Depanelization

In this step of the process, the printed circuit board panel is separated into the individual PCBs for testing and final product assembly.

Testing & Inspection

Testing during production: solder paste inspection (SPI), automated optical inspection (AOI), and X-ray inspection.

Testing after production: In-circuit testing (ICT), functional circuit testing (FCT), HALT/HASS, and pre-compliance testing.

Box Build & Final Product Assembly

In this step of the process, we assemble the PCB with the other parts of the product and package it.

Packaging & Shipping

In this stage of the process, we package all products together in boxes with proper ESD packaging and ship back to the customers or ship directly to the end customer.
